Beach View appeared in the Saturday Times on 16 June 2016 , listed as number 4 of " 12 Great Houses by the Sea"
We are right on the coast front line beach (no road in front) in Southbourne which is between historic town of Christchurch and Bournemouth. I am pleased to report that the 7 mile golder stretch of Beach (which starts in Bournemouth and finishes at Hengistbury Head ) has been voted as the 4th best destination in Europe and the best in England by Tripadvisor – see link http://www.tripadvisor.co.uk/PressCenter-i5071-c1-Press_Releases.html - just remember Beach View is on the very best bit of that beach with views towards Bournemouth/ Harry Rocks to your right and Hengistbury Head and Isle of white to your left. You are nearer to the nature reserve and do recommend you walk to the top of the Head. Plus see Coast magazine Award winner 2007 below on this page.

For many years we searched for a 5 star place to hire right on the beach in Dorset (with a sandy beach and 101 things to do and see within easy access of London). Unfortunately this proved impossible until we discovered Beach View. It is our great pleasure for it to be enjoyed by you.
New en suite - as from Jan 2010 Beach View has a brand new luxury V&B en suite shower room with wc and stunning view on to the sea. The house now has 4 bathrooms (2 of which are en suite shower, wc, basin).
NEW BEACH HUT: Please note that a fully equipped ( tea, coffee, chairs, umbrellas, windbreaks, buckets, spades, shelter from the rain!, deckchairs etc ) right on the golden soft sands just 6 minutes walk from the house, is available to rent. It is also now provided free with the house for any peak season booking over end July/August /Christmas or New Year. Brilliant in all seasons.

Beach View is a beautifully presented spacious, light and airy detached house occupying a stunning position directly on the sea front and is just two hours drive from London. It has breathtaking panoramic sea (and beach!) views from Hengistbury Head across to Poole Bay. The gentle washing of the sea can be heard from the house.
A short walk takes you to the coastal zig zag path down to the glorious seven miles of golden beaches (voted Best Beach in the UK). A superb 34' long conservatory leads out to a garden with decked area. It includes free access for four guests (at any one time) to a luxury child friendly hotel heated indoor and outdoor pool including jacuzzi, sauna and gym facilities. A five minute walk takes you to the local pub/restaurant. A cycle ride along the beach takes you to the Hengistbury Head Nature Reserve/ Mudeford. A 5 minute drive east takes you to the historic town of Christchurch which leads to the New Forest. A 10 minute drive west takes you to Bournemouth with its excellent shops and theatre. Sandbanks and the Jurassic Coast are an easy drive away. Southbourne is reputed to have a micro-climate making it one of the sunniest spots in England but with many things to do if it rains.

Southbourne's beach (directly in front of Beach View) is part of the " 7 mile" beach which won the Coast Awards for th best beach of 2007! The advantage of being at the Southbourne end is that you get the same fantastic sand but it is less busy than Bournemouth - being in walking distance of the start of the Hengistbury Head nature reserve.
Okay and the Financial Times House and Home Supplement on page 4 on the 26/27 April 2008 Weekend paper says " You can get the same sort of house as you may pay ....... in Sandbanks for around ....... in Southbourne - and it will have better views". Well one has to allow a bit of journalistic licence but in fact the views are better from Beach View.
